Facebook Memories might be entertaining, or they can bring up something terrible.
Facebook Memories might make you chuckle, feel nostalgic, or cringe from your high school days. However, for some people, they may evoke traumatic or unpleasant memories. Instead of being caught off guard by bad memories, you may change your Facebook settings to conceal them.
Here’s how to conceal memories in Facebook’s mobile app.
- 1. On your phone, launch the Facebook app.
- 2. Press the Menu icon. It will appear in the upper-right corner of the screen on Android devices and in the lower-right corner on iPhones.
- 3. Press Memories.
- 4. To access Memories Settings, tap the Gear icon located in the upper-right corner.
- 5. All Memories, Highlights, or None are your options. Facebook will display all of your memories from that day under All Memories, just exceptional videos and collections under Highlights, and no notifications for any memories under None.
You can decide to conceal memories involving particular users if you’d want something more focused. In the Memories Settings page, choose People and then follow the previous instructions. You can enter the name of a user you wish to keep out of your memory. The choices you make are automatically saved, and they won’t be informed.
In the Memories Settings tab, youa may also hide memories from a certain date range by tapping Dates. Almost any time period, starting from 1900, can be entered, including a day, a week, a month, or a full year. After you’re finished, select Done and then Save.
