How to create an AR face filter yourself

The most popular application of augmented reality is by far the face filters on Instagram and Snapchat. To choose which Disney villain best embodies who we are, we have already spent years attaching objects to our heads, bending our faces, and encircling them with butterflies. But I didn’t understand how simple it is to build your own face filter until I got my hands on the new iPad Pro and experimented with Procreate’s Face Paint function. To accomplish this, you don’t actually need an iPad Pro or Procreate. Just for a little additional flare, that is. However, a Facebook account is required. Facebook offers a free

Spark AR Studio is a desktop application. Spark AR allows you to perform a lot of things, most of which I haven’t done yet. To provide a wealth of free augmented reality content, Spark AR teamed up with Sketchfab, a 3D modeling platform. You may try on steampunk goggles or hang out next to a Super Mario piranha plant with a few clicks and a live preview of your face.

However, I choose to use some original artwork made in Procreate for this introductory lesson. You don’t need to be a really good artist, so don’t stress. The carnival butterflies in my town came to an end.

appeared almost insane. However, I enjoy demented. Overall, creating AR art is more simpler and more enjoyable than I had anticipated because of these tools.

I wanted to show you my insane butterfly, so I snapped this picture. The hair is only an added bonus.
